Jestico + Whiles has designed a state-of-the-art international school campus for Doha College, located in Al-Wajba near Education City. This visionary project, commissioned through an international design competition, serves 2,500 students of more than 68 nationalities. The campus blends British educational principles with innovative design, tailored for Doha’s unique climate and culture.

The architectural design solution for Doha College is based on the notion of a school for all ages ‘under one roof’, with a common entrance and dedicated zones for primary and secondary pupils, and first class sports and drama facilities.

The design adapts the ‘essence’ of a British school to the sands of the Arabian Peninsula. In developing this vision into a masterplan, the team applied educational expertise and technology from the UK to the Doha climate.

The new campus, completed in September 2020 (the school’s 40th anniversary), provides teaching and learning facilities that enable the College to maintain its excellent reputation within Qatar and the wider region, while providing a truly exceptional British education for its students.
